"Since losing my job, as a result of redundancy, all of my plans were pulled from under my feet. I didn't know where to turn, my confidence was crushed, and it all felt hopeless. Soon after, my partner was also made redundant adding to the woe! Having been motivated by Steve's 'Winning Through Redundancy' webinar, despite a challenging financial situation, I decided to take positive action and invest in his online career transition course. The course has completely changed my outlook. It has enabled me to realise the skills I have to offer and also give me the tools I need to recognise opportunities that are out there. Thanks to this work, I have started down the path of creating my own business, with my partner, that makes the most of our skills of creativity and project management amongst others. We are creating items for the home and garden using reclaimed materials. We are Bosing Designs! This year could have been a very destructive year for us both but we have flipped a bad situation and now started following our passions. We are now doing something we love and what could be better than that!? Thank you Steve Preston for all your support and the 'Winning Through Redundancy & Lay-Offs' course. I couldn’t have done it without you!"

This is a very common question. The course is designed to take between 4-6 weeks at a leisurely pace, to allow for reflection and review and completing the many practical activities. With the course only option, you can also take up my '30 Day Challenge' and aim to fast track your progress, if you treat the course as your main 'job' or key project, while in transition.
The course isn't meant to be a sprint but equally it's not meant to be a marathon. The quickest completion time (achieved with brilliant outcomes!) has been 16 days, working an average of 3 hours a day on week days only, treating the course as their job. However, your commitment depends on many factors as there is no one size fits all approach. Everybody works in different ways and has different time constraints e.g. how much spare time do have to allocate to the course? Do you see the course as your main focus post redundancy/lay-off activity? Have you already left your employer?
Some people prefer to work in small chunks doing do 'little and often', whereas others put in long 'shifts' looking to work through and complete many lessons at a time. There is no right or wrong way. It's all down to what works best for you.
My top tips...
1. Treat the course as your 'job' - this is your key project to help you achieve clarity, decide what to do next and make it happen!
2. Work on the course when you are at your best (you might be a morning person or 'night owl')
3. Focus your key time when you you are least likely to have any interruptions...you have lots of videos to watch, audio to listen to and practical activities to work through
4. Enjoy the journey!
It's simple...book for 4 people at the same time on Option 2 (Group Course) and 1 person goes FREE! Therefore, if you have 3 other friends, work colleagues (or ex colleagues) who are all interested in booking on the same group course, then organise payment through 1 person and pay for 3 people and split the cost between you. This way you can achieve a massive saving on the course! Option 3 is also available for employers as a low cost but high impact Outplacement/Career Transition Support option when laying off professional staff, who are keen to re-evaluate their careers and work through what to do next, rather than more of the same
Absolutely! This is another massive benefit of the course. Aside of no restriction on timescale to complete the course, once you have completed the course you don't get locked out. You can still access the course for up to 12 months, from the date of your initial enrolment. This means that you can always revisit different lessons and activities, once you may have moved on in your career but may want to see how you feel about these coming from a different perspective, or as your circumstances change. Essentially from this course you get a set of tools and they are yours for life!
